you book
Water confidence and ability to
swim
It
is strongly recommended that all participants on
courses have a level of water confidence and an
ability to swim appropriate to the activity they
are participating in. Non-swimmers or nervous
should make this known on the application form
when enrolling on a course.
Equipment
All necessary equipment such as dinghies, wetsuits,
jackets and bouyancy aids will be provided by the
Sailing School. Rescue cover along with a ratio of
one instructor and assistant to 6 participants
will be maintained at all times for sailing
courses as required by the ISA and ICU (Irish
Canoe Union).
What to bring with you
- A swimsuit and towel
- Neoprene
Booties or old runners
- A
peaked sunhat and a fleece or wool hat for
cold conditions.
- Waterproof
suntan lotion factor 20 or higher.
- A
bottle of water for drinking while afloat -
prevents dehydration.
- A
packed lunch for day courses
- Warm
clothing such as a fleece for wearing after
sailing or kyaking.
- Dry
socks and shoes.
